Cylindrical Tool Would it be hard to add a 3D Cylindrical Tool and/or add it as part of the 3D Shape tool? I don’t mean a solid basic cylinder. We already have basic box, triangle, and cylinder primitives. I’m thinking a tool were you create a custom selected wall shape as a shape profile, and then set a rotational amount around a user defined axis. That way we can make or extrude all kinds of custom radial and tapered shapes, both solid and hollow. Plus with using walls you can set a transparency % with Modify 3D View for glass objects. ---------------------------------------- Steve N Mavronis - Retired PC Tech |

Re: Cylindrical Tool You should try a tool like FreeCAD or Fusion360. They are easy to learn for creating objects like you need: draw a sketch, extrude or rotate it and they are ready to export and import in SH3D. ---------------------------------------- Pascal SH3D 6.6 / Ubuntu 22.04 (Mainline-Kernel) / Radeon RX580 / Ryzen 7 5800x |

Re: Cylindrical Tool That would be complicated because Sweet Home 3D has to compute the holes of doors and windows which intersect walls. If the wall was not flat as you propose, you can easily guess that it would be more complicated to program. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
