Crashes when selecting texture When selecting a texture for a floor, as soon as I hit OK, SweetHome 3D crashes without notice. Starting the jar from a commandline, I get an output and a logfile written containing something like this: # An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x065b50e6, pid=3524, tid=4052 Any idea? Re: Crashes when selecting texture You can follow this "bug" in the bug tracker, I have experienced the same problem. Crash when selecting any texture for the floor - ID: 1846741 When you select a texture, no matter for the sky, ground or walls. Total Home 3D just exists with no warning or error message. This problem seems to be isolated to ATI graphics cards. It is a "bug" in the Java 3D renderer that conflicts with ATI graphic drivers. I have no knowledge of the exact cause and problem. I'm just informing everyone that may experience this. Solution that worked for me was simply to use the file described in the FAQ to start Sweet Home 3D with DirectX rendering (rather than OpenGL). |
