I need help with a complex roof
I started working on the house roof yesterday. At first, I made the magenta wall on the first floor and dived it so I could make a triangle. But then I wondered: Would I still be able to customize my room?

So today I started over, I made the first floor slop and then added the white triangle on an extra level.

Not pretty right?... So I tested something, I made the triangle but starting from the first floor, to see if I could customize it.

As I thought the pink carry over the other wall and ceiling... I just want the carpeted room to be pink not the rest. So as you see I have no idea how to make my triangular wall.

I need help with this.

So I'm still trying to figure out how to make my inclined walls. But here an update:

I'm not 100% happy with this, but it looks better. I'm having a hard time figuring how to my inclined walls look nice...

So... Yeah I'm still trying to understand how to make my slope. So I made some 'fake' roof to see if it would work and all.

It still doesn't fit... so I guess I have to make the Cyan higher?

Or edit the part of the first flor that pops out?

Example 15 of the Sweet Home 3D Gallery has got a complex roof a little bit like that. Did you have a look at its file?

Hi Shralen
HERE is a zip file that contains 2 projects and some screen shots, hopefully you can use them to help you understand how the roof panels can be made with the shape generator tool and also the way to use rooms to help create your wall colouring's. You will see that some of the walls are joined and some are not.

Thank Mike.

I tried the generator tool, it would be perfect if I wanted my roof the same format as my room, but I want it to exceed said room. Such as:

Also is there a way to get notified when someone answers our tread/us?

Once more I tried things with a 'fake' roof, by using the square and triangle.

It is far from perfect, but it gives you an idea of what I'm trying to do. I did try the shape generator tool, but since I want my shape to exceed the house it is not that easy. I'm not that good in math so it is getting quite complex to make the roof...

Hi!

You can make complex roof with walls and this feature http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,3242

Draw wall on base level, ajust start and end height, add windows if needed
Copy as a new furniture and paste, then you can adjust angle

I actually managed to make 3 roofs with the shape generator tool.
