'VectorWorks' output not rendered correctly I tried importing a few pieces of furniture that were output from a commercial product called 'VectorWorks', and they did not render properly in SH3D. I tried with a few different pieces, so its not an isolated problem with just 1 particular piece. The furniture (stool) is being rendered correctly in the original application (VectorWorks), as well as after being imported in another application (AutoCAD), but not after being imported in the SH3D application. The top portion of the stool does not render. Can you please tell me if this is a known issue? It would be very helpful if you can throw some light on this, why is it happening, and is there a work around. p.s. I have screenshots that I could email (unfortunately I dont see a way to attach them with this post) [Note: this thread was started on sourceforge.net forums] |

Re: 'VectorWorks' output not rendered correct If you tried to import your model at 3DS format, your problem is probably due to a bug in 3DS library, as explained in http://www.sweethome3d.eu/faq.html#3DModelsImport Try to import it at OBJ format. In case you need it, you can use Blender to convert a 3DS model to OBJ format. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
