Drawing in a scale suitable for small objects, like a cabinet I want to use Sweet Home 3D to draw smaller projects, like a cabinet that is only a couple feet wide or less, for example. However, the default Drawing Scale on screen is obviously only for a large room or an entire home. I've tried many other drawing programs, but they don't show the dimensions AS you're drawing a wall, line, etc. |

Re: Drawing in a scale suitable for small objects, like a cabinet As a workaround, you can draw up-scaled versions of the small objects, lets say measures x10 or x100, and then down-scale to the correct size before save the definitive result. ---------------------------------------- If a long walk every day were healthy, mailmen would be immortal. ![]() |

Sure, but the real problem is the zoom level. The zoom should be next to infinite, like it is in most other programs. Then we wouldn't need this workaround. |

Re: Drawing in a scale suitable for small objects, like a cabinet The drawing of a piece of furniture in its selection rectangle at large zoom factors that was fixed in the version 6.1 enables larger zoom factors now, and I was planning to double the maximum allowed zoom in the next version. At the maximum value, 1 mm would be 1 pixel wide at screen. That should be enough right? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Drawing in a scale suitable for small objects, like a cabinet The version 6.3 comes with a maximum zoom where 1 mm = 1 pixel. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
