Re: my bathroom Thank you Hans, and Puybaret.. ![]() It was rendered with Advanced Rendering, 3.0 has slightly different settings for caustics that I'm not as familiar with yet. I know I will have to relearn a lot of the refraction, transparency settings now, once you get 3.0 as a full install version. But since I'm experimenting with the meshes of the obj file, and transparency settings, I stayed with what I know for now. The mesh had a lot to do with how light is refracted so I'm trying to see if I can layer the meshes without getting too much for the renderer to compute. The shelf side handles has four different meshes layered with all of them having a slightly different transparency number in the mtl file. And I'm not exactly sure how to share all the experiments I've done.. lol.. I guess I could paste the mtl file, but without the meshes to go along with it, I'm not sure how useful that would be to someone who wanted to try to get this effect. EDIT: Also the flat part of the shelf also has a texture applied to a mesh in the middle, which is also why the light is not passing through as clearly as just a normal piece of glass. I was trying to mimic a wavy glass look, but the texture kind of faded into a opaque look. ---------------------------------------- ![]() |
