Re: Removing Items from Furniture Catalog The furniture catalog can have three different types of furniture: 1 - default furniture that comes with the installation of the program 2 - individually imported furniture 3 - furniture from an imported furniture library You can't remove any of the default furniture (not without changing the source code). These come from the file Furniture.jar in the Sweet Home 3D install directory, not from a 'normal' furniture library. Individually imported furniture is recognizable by the cursive name in the catalog. You can right-click a piece of furniture and select delete from the context menu or press the delete key when the furniture item is selected, Furniture from a furniture library can only be deleted by deleting the furniture from the library and then importing the library again. You can use the Furniture Library Editor to do this. Keep in mind that if you change a third-party library your changes will be lost if you import an updated version of that library. To avoid that save your changes with a new library name and only import your renamed library. I agree that it is most inconvenient that the default installed furniture can't be removed from the catalog. In my opinion that default catalog should hold only a box, triangle, cylinder, and a sphere. All the other furniture should be in a normal furniture library that can be removed. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |
