Re: Snap to grid feature Apparently snaps are not feasible (or problematic to implement) in SweetHome. I wonder if something like Wings3d's constraints could be implemented. Basically these are an (improved) version of snaps. Like Press CTL+drag moves (/rotates/scales) 1 unit; SHIFT moves 5 units; ALT 10 units; CTL+ALT 0.5 units, etc -- you get the idea. (Wings3d also has the choice of using 'Alternative constraints' - very useful if you are doing most of your work in meters, but need to edit something - like furniture - in feet.)
