Replace the 8x8 box with normal walls and the height you want.
Add a level with the elevation set to the height of the box walls + the floor thickness of the new level. On this new level draw a room using the outside corners of the box walls. Magnetism will help to snap to the wall corners.

Now you have a floor and inside the box you have a ceiling.

Notice that the floor on the new level "sinks" into the lower level with the floor thickness you have set for the new level. That also sets the ceiling height inside the box. You can lower the ceiling by increasing the floor thickness of the new level. A thicker floor will "sink" lower. You will have to lower the box walls too.
