Re: Generate roof plugin You can do that now. But... The resulting roof will no longer have separate material names and it can't be re-imported in the Roof Generator. You will have to repeat the boolean difference operation for each window. That said, the calculation behind the boolean difference option could possibly be integrated in the Roof Generator plugin and create the holes without changing the rest of the roof. I don't know if this is possible. Dorin will know more about that since he knows both plugins. Using regular windows is problematic in itself: you can't tilt regular windows. You will have to export them, import as normal furniture, tilt, export, and import again as door-or-window. Extra library properties like sashes and wall distance will be lost and opening the windows could be affected too. Regular windows are not what you usually see in sloped roof. What would be absolute perfect is if the roof could act like a wall where a window snaps into the roof like it does in a wall. Makes it real easy to add windows and change its position. No need to cut a hole before placing the window. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |
