I think you're talking about Energy3D that has no compiled Linux version.
Indeed.
To test your plugin I've needed to have a functionally Energy3D.
Being under linux I've can't do that.
On the other hand I was interested in how Energy3D make roofs.
I can change the plugin to embed Energy3D
That what I've suggested.
You could start with some basic enhancements, not with the hole complexity of the subject.
E.g. SunFlow and YafaRay already made some needed parts.
I have already some ideas for Energy leak, Comfort issue, or many others.
