Re: How to trace real floorplan? Don't draw the walls. Draw the room outline with the room tool, then activate the wall tool and double click the room. The app will create the walls for you. When drawing a room, you can use the number pad "Enter" to enter dimensions directly in the tooltip. This way the internal room dimensions will be numerically accurate. You can use temporary rooms to represent the entire internal floor area, change the default wall thickness in preferences, and double click the temp room to create the thicker outer walls. Then just delete the room, and start adding your interior walls (after changing the prefs setting back to the needed thickness). You can again add temporary rooms if necessary that you accurately dimension to use the wall tool double-click. Note this works the other way too. With the room tool active, double click a spot enclosed by walls and the room will be created for you filling out to the surrounding walls. |
