I didn't succeed(. Replacing a JPG texture with a GIF does not produce live fire. There is a new image on the model, but without movement. Can you show the result using a simple example with a GIF texture? What needs to be done? I inserted a GIF image into the ZIP file and nothing happened (although it was exported to the SH library as a live texture with movement, I see it there as a live fire). In the second case, I replaced the JPG with this GIF image. There is still no movement... What am I doing wrong? 
It doesn't work in Sweet Home 3D. Skank use Sweet Home 3D to create plans for use in Home Assist, another program where animated gifs DO show animated.Sweet Home 3D does accept an animated gif but it only displays the first frame of the animation. It does however keep the image itself unchanged so the export still has the animated gif.
