Having been in the interior decorating business in The Netherlands for many years, I'm familiar with walls and floors :-)

A program like SH3D that's being used all over the world -above all- needs to be flexible. There are no national standards, leave alone worldwide standards. Once you change wall thickness in your preferences, SH3D remembers that for your next use. That, in my opinion, is the best way to deal with it.

The same can be said about wall height. In The Netherlands there's a building code that dictates a minimum room height, but from my own experience I know that one rarely encounters a house with exactly that height.

The same goes for every other "standard" size: the use of metric or imperial system will dictate whether sizes are rounded to the nearest centimeter, or to the nearest inch or foot. And most probably it will be a mix, as some industries have traditionally been dominated by one or the other system.
