Re: Make a brush for changing texture on the ground To start you can use the Terrain Generator plugin. That gives a more realistic ground with subtle elevations and the resulting shadows. Then you will have to find a texture that looks more realistic than plain grass. See the Textures section on this site. Maybe this one is more to your liking: https://ambientcg.com/view?id=Ground037 (see here to download the Texture Library that contains this texture) If you divide the terrain in multiple parts (using multiple rooms) you can give each part a different texture. Or a different scaling which will seem like a different texture. First try to create a little hill in a corner of the terrain by drawing a round room in that corner and use that room to generate the hill. It will certainly give you more ideas! Unfortunately you can not paint a texture in Sweet Home 3D but you can in programs like GIMP and use the resulting image as a texture. Not only for a plain flat ground but also for a generated terrain. It's difficult to create a seamless texture but if the terrain is not too big you can use a single image with the same size as the terrain. That will also allow you to paint the ground exactly like you want it. Don't make it a high resolution image, the ground doesn't need very fine details. A lower resolution will have a much smaller file size and will display faster. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |
