Build first, model then?
Build first, model then?

No sense, but just this is what happened with our woodshed.
Shed was built 2004, years before I was aware of SH3D. Modeling with SH3D started 2014 and those models were very technical and simple.
After years I have seen great models of machinery, landscapes with complex terrains and fantastic use of lights and illumination.
All this motivated me when I started modeling our woodshed.

This first picture show what i try to model.

Now: winter is coming to Finland, first show has fallen and partly molten away, bay is almost frozen, alder (Alnus glutinosa) drop its leaves long after birch has done that. Moon is high in the southern sky..

That modeled picture uses many parts that I have taken from 3D Warehouse, modified them or used unmodified. Some textures are also taken places like Sketchup Textures.
I have taken those parts/textures away from the model that I want to share.

Link to model here,
backgroud picture (photo taken by me)
and finally location of this exotic place, Ääristenlahti: 62°41'51.2"N 28°07'03.3"E

Many thanks for those great stories, fantastic pictures and great guides!
I will continue exploration in the world of illumination, textures and landscapes (Shire (!), lands of northern lights and so on).
