Installation failure due to java file I downloaded a free version in the Spring, and today purchased the newest version from Amazon. Could not get it to install. Got this message half way through: C:\Program Files\Sweet Home 3D\jre8\bin\javaw.exe An error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory: MoveFile failed; code 183. Cannot create a file when that file already exists. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation. When I clicked abort, it gave a short message that it was rolling back the changes. But then I couldn't open my old version because it said it couldn't find it. I tried: - uninstalling the old version - re-installing the new version (free) - re-installing the new paid version - updating Java (already had a version of 8) Could I make another folder to install the program into? Maybe another drive such as D? Thanks for any suggestions you may have. |
