I tried again the installer version (coming with Java 8u51) and the Java Web Start version (with Java 8u131) in 32 and 64 bit under Windows 10 Creators Update on two different computers (an Asus T100 and another one running under Parallels Desktop), and didn't notice any slowdown in the 3D view.
Let's wait for the the release of the first updates of the new Windows 10 version before concluding it's Java or Sweet Home 3D fault. By the way, I would be very astonished that the suggestion to install Java 3D 1.4 made by vinylspeed could make the program run better, because Sweet Home 3D always tries to use the Java 3D version provided with it. Running the program with Java 3D 1.4 can't be made without changing running options in an IDE, and it's not what he seems to have attempted (but still thanks for trying)!
