Re: Simple passive house I fell in love with passive house concept because it just makes sense. It's nothing special just smart. Yes, passive houses - or even plus-houses - are very interesting. And I agree that the idea is smart. Talked to an engineer a while back. While he too was very positive to the very energy efficient houses, he had some issues with the standards about to be implemented many places and the level of complication it added to a house. Specifically about ventilation and heat exchange. Point being that some builders are not really sufficiently experienced to build a passive house and that some attempts had some problems with air flow. But - if you get it right - it is certainly the future. ok |
