Re: How to save 3D shape into furnture library
Please, let me add to the confusion and suggest couple of steps:
- Create shape
- Select object
- Export selection as .obj (3d view - Export to OBJ format )
- Import same .obj file (drag&drop)
- Check "Add to catalog" in the third dialogue
- Check staircase or door/window (if that applies)
That will put the object in your standard catalogue. But, when you say "my furniture catalogue" it sort of indicates you have indeed your own catalogue. Which is a good idea, however, you will also need to use the Furniture Library Editor (FLE) to create a separate catalogue (indistinguishable when using SH3D, but can be edited separately using the FLE). Then the procedure is similar, but you shall have to import the .obj file into the FLE and then import the FLE library into SH3D. Using separate libraries is a slight detour, but it also gives you more control over a separate ("my furniture catalogue") library and the models in it.
Good luck - and good week-end.
