Re: Xeon 8core or 2x XEON 6core CPU - which one ist faster? The more cores/threads the computer has, the faster Q3/Q4 renderings will be computed. If both processors have twice more threads than cores, I guess that the 2x6x2=24 threads of the second solution should compute faster than the 2x8=16 threads, moreover if its the dual processors run at a higher frequency...
