If you look around, you can find vector based contour lines and other geo data freely available, some with very high resolution (1m). But conversion between formats (and datum) is a total pain. At least, I have not found an easy way of converting vector map data to a format supported by SH3D - but that could just be me. So if anyone has a good way of doing this, please share.I was not aware of this at all when I modeled my imaginary mountain-terrain. Or, of course, I could play around with Hans' link - or even better - just wait for Ceciliabr to produce beautiful images... ok |
