Please try with Firefox or Chrome. If you really want to use Safari, you should open Safari Preferences, select Security > Website Settings for Internet Plugins > Java and choose Unsafe mode for www.sweethome3d.com web site.
Sorry if Apple makes it harder and harder to run applets in web pages. sad
