In case you didn't notice, you can change the orientation of the imported 3D model degree by degree by keeping the shift key pressed...
If any consolation, I have seen the import wizard dialogue hundreds of times. And I have yet to notice... 
Only goes to show that SH3D users should not be fooled by how easy it is to access the basic functions. There is a short-cut and extended function in every screen. Guess I need pay attention to the instructions and keep learning how to use Shift/Ctrl/Alt/Option keys. ok
