Re: USS Enterprise Deck 7 .sh3d file When I try to add a few sections of wall, there is a delay between each click and/or mouse movement of approx. 30 seconds. I'm using a quad core PC, running 64 bits Ubuntu, with 4 GB of memory (out of 8 GB) dedicated to SH3D. What is the size of the image that you are using as a texture for the walls? (in pixels and in KB's/MB's?) Decreasing that size (to 512x512 pixels or less) may have some impact on performance, although not very much. (I tried it with a small texture.) Maybe you could split the design in several sections? Use Export to OBJ format and join the sections after importing them again. When I export the bottom half of your design, delete it and then re-import it, delays are roughly halved. This strongly suggests that SH3D re-calculates ALL walls with every modification. It makes me think of a project I started on several years ago, but which I abandoned for the same reason: slow reaction times after drawing many, many walls. This also suggests that your new computer won't solve the problem. If it's twice as fast, delays are halved, not more.
