Re: Starting a non square plan SH3D isn't designed to easily allow that kind of drawing. However, it is possible to do so. You will need (1) the angles (in degrees) between two walls and (2) the length of each wall. Choose the Wall button, click to make you starting point, then hit Enter on the keyboard.
