Loft

Hiya
Thought i would have a go at a loft as i have not seen one in the forum, just got the basics done at the moment, but the idea is growing on me.Construction is a little different so i made the walls 18" thick, but maintained the standard hieght. the centre support columns are 4' square and i made the floor 12" deep to support the mezzanine.

Long way to go yet.

Re: Loft

Mike...I tried to make one...It was "little black bathroom" project. But this yours is perfect. I love loft projects an I am happy to see your new inventions. That big windows are great. Which style you wanna use? More industrial or more comfort? Woooohaaa. Love to see your new pictures. These first pictures made good taste to wait for others. Good luck Mike.

Re: Loft

@bdfd "closets", as you so kindly call them, are rooms, as i said long way from finished, hence no windows, not even sure the rooms will remain where they are.
Thank you Martin. I looked back at that project, very nice work, the plan is for mine is to appear on one floor of many, lofts above and below, as you know, plans change. smile

Re: Loft

Hiya
Made a few changes and feel the framework of the property is now complete, maybe, biggrin
3 external images.

I decided it would be better to go for top floor, somewhere to have a garden and maybe a jacuzi

Modified the fire escape to accomadate the extra floor

On the inside i have stairs at one end of the building up to the bedroom mezzanine and spiral stairs at the other.

A lift provides access to the loft and also to the roof, via a 2nd, smaller mezzanine.

Next 2 are different views of the interior.

Bit risky taking this image, nearly got blown off the lift roof.

Last image shows the large wall opposite the bedroom mezzanine and the 2 large mirrors i have positioned to aid lighting on the lower floors.

If anyone would like to look aroung the Loft, it can be found here

Re: Loft

Hi
I changed the sliding doors on the roof for a set i made in anonther project and removed the wall at the top of the winding stair case and created a semi circular hand rail similar to the ones used elsewhere on the mezzanine
