Re: Solar house

Cool bdfd!
Vertical geothermal will probably not be cost effective anymore.
Winters in the Netherlands are getting warmer and warmer anyway

-> Thanks. smile
-> This part of project costs 20,000.00 euros !!! (The depth is 30 meters...)
-> It's the same thing in North of France... sad We are almost Neighbors smile

Re: Solar house

Nice little project bdfd.

Solar power in the US is still a bit too expensive initially for the average home owner so it's not taking off like it should here.

Re: Solar house

Thanks. smile

In France, 13 panels give 3000 WhC (maximum limit for a particular).
In 2010, a solar installation cost 17,000.00 euros (~15,500.00 dollars US).
In 2016, the same panels cost 11,000.00 euros.

2 ways for these solar panels :
1. You produce yourself your electricity or
2. You produce electricity for an electric compagny which give 2,000.00 euros per year on average. smile

Re: Solar house

I, too, love the open concept. I also love the more formal dining in the great room. biggrin

smile Re: Solar house

Thanks girls. smile

In each project I try to keep these rules :
1. One floor
2. passive house
3. separating the sides night and day
4. Large glass Windows to South
Demand or imagination do the rest... smile

Re: Solar house

Looks to me like the "new air in" would be a good place for a neighbour to place a smoking shelter. wink. Thankyou for the reply regarding the handles , i ask as i am struggling to find handles and soft furnishings, duvets just do not look right made of box's and triangles. smile

It is better that it is in your garden and well protected from bad weather and insects ...
