On XP with 512 RAM using 1GB (Nvidia MX440 graphic card)
On Windows 7 with 3,25 RAM using over 2GB and using so much of processor (Gigabyte GeForce GTX960 2GB). Addiotaily some sections are black.
In result, Sweet Home 3D is crashing.
Could you help me?
Do you need more information?

Re: High using RAM and processor

The ram of your graphic card it's irrelevant. Sweethome don't use it.
Sweethome uses all cores and power you have. More bigger it's your proyect, more resources it demands.
The ram it's limited by Java. In my computer uses 2,5Gb, of 8Gb total.
You can make your proyect more light using small textures, remove unnecessary objects, .....
And, of course, you can upgrade the processor.

The sections in black, maybe you forget the lights of the rom?¿

Re: High using RAM and processor

I have had the same problem with my pc but i have found that i could fix it without adjusting the j4l something file of sweethome. What i have done is using my gamebooster software that basicly boost the active running software RAM usage and turns of any and most all processes running on windows in the background.. So i got down to thinking if its working for the most recent games thats not suppose to work propperly on my pc then it should work for sweethome3d too.... And heaven behold it works a true charm i can now render in 4th quality renders... The software is free and called GAMEBOOSTER hope this works for you guys too... O by the way when i had my old pc also 512mb ram i could play games that needed about 2GB of ram...
