Wow! That's some awesome dedication you've got. Impressive work! :D I love Star Trek. You've most certainly done justice to the Enterprise here. I never would've thought of using Sweet Home this way. Keep it up and keep sharing your progress pics. Very inspiring. Thank you.

Re: New Starship Enterprise pics

Thank you for the ego-boo. I'm a big Trek fan, too, and also a modeller. 3d CGI just seemed to be a logical extension for me and Sweethome3d is so simple and easy to use that I couldn't resist. I studied the FASA deck plans and decided that deck 07 would be the most interesting to model. It's the thickest part of the saucer side to side and front to back (along with deck 06 directly above it) and includes the sickbay, four transporter rooms, main engineering, a briefing room, multiple crew cabins and storage spaces and what I assume must be escape pods. I've had to learn to 'stretch' the Sweethome program to accomplish some of what I needed to do and in some instances use it in tandem with Blender. I can't tell you how often I've had to move files back and forth between the two programs before finally getting it tweaked the way I wanted it. But I'm having fun. biggrin
