Import models, textures problems.

Hi!

When I try import model from obj or 3ds files.
Some models are imported properly.
But others imported without textures.
When I open this models in G3DViewer or Blender the models has textures and looks fine.

Tell me please, where could be the problem?

Re: Import models, textures problems.

If you're sure that textures were in the same ZIP file or in the same folder as the OBJ or 3DS file you imported, the problem could come from the format of the texture images (Sweet Home 3D 4.6 supports only BMP, WBMP, GIF, PNG and JPEG image file formats), or from a bigger tolerance in other tools about the way they accept to load linked files (case sensible, subfolder...).
Could you post some links to the 3D models that caused some problems?

Re: Import models, textures problems.

Try this. In Blender, create a special folder where you intend to save the object file. Copy all related textures into that folder. Then when you apply your textures use these as your source. Then export as obj format, saving the object file into that folder. Then open that folder and zip the contents into a single zip file. Then open the furniture library editor and load the zip file into that. The object should come in will its textures intact. Make any modifications necessary, assign it to a furniture catagory and then save the furniture library. Then import the furniture library into Sweethome3d. It should work. It does for me. I have the same problem trying to import the furniture directly into the program so I use the Furniture Editor as an intermediate step.

Re: Import models, textures problems.

Thank you for your answers.
But problem was that in Ubuntu linux repositories has old version of Sweet Home 3D 4.4 and Furniture Library Editor 1.14.
I just updated to SweetHome 4.6 and Library editor 1.16
And problem was solved.
