Re: My design for a modern 'park model' home

In terms of your off-grid capabilities, I was curious as to whether you had calculated your (solar) power needs and battery capacity. From the looks of it, your house has roughly 6 sq m of panels. I guess that would give +/- 700 watts on a good day. But do you have any thoughts about the battery bank to make the system useful?

And while the stove should be plenty for heating, what about hot-water? It seems to me surplus energy from the stove could be used for hot water, preferably combined with a solar hot water system. I know such systems exist, but have yet to see simple, commercially available kits.
