Automatic dimemsion when you draw walls?

I just discovered you program and it looks exactly like what I need to use on my tablet PC. I have a question is there a way to show dimensions automatically when you free draw walls.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Automatic dimemsion when you draw walls?

A tooltip shows the length the wall you currently draw, but this size is the distance between the start point and the end point of the wall in its middle. If this way of measuring walls doesn't satisfy your needs, you may also a room first then draw the walls around it by double-clicking in the room.
The dimensions can be drawn afterwards with the Dimensions creation tool.

@puybaret
Hello,

thats true, but there are some problems:

1.If you create a room, mostly there a different thickness of the walls. For example here in newer buildings outside walls are thicker than those which are inside.

2.when you found out something, is wrong with the messurement, f.e. because on one side, there are three rooms and on the other side only two, but both sides must have the same inside length, you realize the thickness of the walls are different ore the you made a mistake by messuring the flat. When you now have to change the rooms, you have also to change the messurements of the rooms. And that costs a lot of time.

So my idea is, because the messurements of the rooms are already known by the program, why not combine the messure - lines with the rooms. For example click on the line of a marked room, hold the left mouse button and go to the position, where you want to have your digits. The same for the walls. And when you click on the edge of a room and change the position of that edge, the messurement is following it. Maybe this is much effort to program, you just build in a "recalibrate button" and the messurements are freshed up.

Or did I read something wrong?

Thanks for reading
