Re: Italian typical ceiling Star vault or Stella vault

I did a quick test but it runs outside the limits of what you can do with Sweethome3D. You can create a semicircle wall in 2 90° parts where you give each quarter a slope so middle is higher than the outsides. This should give you one side of the ceiling 'lying on it's back'. Export as object, import and rotate it to the correct position (set X angle to 270) so the rounding is up. Copy 3 times and arrange the four sides as in the picture. That comes very close, but...

You can give a wall a slope in Sweethome3D but you can't curve the slope, which is what you would need to make the parts fit as required. Without that the lower half of the sides bisect each other.

Unless someone else here has a different solution, you will have to use something like Blender to create your ceiling.

Re: Italian typical ceiling Star vault or Stella vault

Ciao,
you can find it also searching for "Volta a crociera":
https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/?q=vo...ciera&searchTab=model

https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/5601d7...3964e60b25/Volta-a-Stella

The problem is that it will be a 3d object and not a real ceiling.
