Is it possible to postpone/disable 3D rendering?

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie so excuse me if my question is not OK. I tried to find my answer within the software but couldn't.

I'd like to disable 3D processing while working on the 2D plan window until I proceed to use the 3D view function to use the resources more efficiently on low end hardware.

Is it possible to do that?

And I want to thank the programmer and all the supporters for the great software. You guys rock!

You could hide the 3D view by moving the separator between the plan and the 3D view. Then, if you close your file and reopen it, updates in the 3D view won’t happen and will be computed again only once you’ll make the 3D view appear at screen.

Oh thank you very much! Didn't see your reply till now. Guess I need to turn on my notifications. I'll try doing that.
