Distorted objects when inside glass shelves

Hi! I've been using this software since a couple months and it's awesome.

Now I'm doing a project for a friend's hardware store and they will use glass shelves for the most part, here is when the problem comes.

Items inside the shelves look heavily distorted/warped, like they were inside a bubblegram and not surrounded by glass sheets.

The problem occurs only when rendering in good and best qualities.

Here are some pictures of said effect.

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Distorted objects when inside glass shelves

Welcome on the forum.
If your imported furniture is at OBJ format, you could try to set the optical density of the glass (Ni parameter in MTL files). By default, its value is 1.55 which matches the one of the glass. I think you should also ensure that the glass part should have two sides.
Hope this can help even if I never did some extensive tests on this feature.

Re: Distorted objects when inside glass shelves

I solved it! The model was weirdly made, in fact, it was "unibody" with LOTS of geometry (so glass and metal were assigned materials based on "faces", and glass parts had even 20 faces), I had to edit it in Blender and now it's going awesome!

Thank you for the tips!
