How to select a group to move

How do I select the whole of a small grouped object so I can move it? If I select the group in the object list, that doesnt select it on the plan, but as soon as I try to select on the plan it only highlights the smallest component of the group.

This should or maybe the zoom factor in your plan is so large that you don't see the selection border.
as soon as I try to select on the plan it only highlights the smallest component of the group.
Click first in a empty space of the plan or on another object, then click on the group again.

Re: How to select a group to move

What davequ probably means is:
- if you select a model/group in the 2D pane, you can move it with the cursor keys.
- if you select a model/group in the furniture list, the model/group is highlighted in the 2D pane, but cannot be moved with the cursor keys.
- it would be nice to be able to move the model/group directly after clicking in the furniture list, without having to "confirm your selection" by clicking on it again in the 2D pane.

You can already do that: press Tab once or twice (if your plan has levels) to transfer focus to the plan, so pressing arrow keys will be directed to the plan.

Re: How to select a group to move

Changing the focus works brilliantly - thanks
