The sashes are defined in the Furniture Library. If you want to remove them you will have to do that in the library by using the Furniture Library Editor. Just remove the properties for the sashes in the extra properties list.

But why do you want them removed? They show how the window opens and they only show in the 2Dview. You will see that in almost every floorplan.

Although it's easy to modify the library with the windows it's not advisable to do so unless it is a library you created yourself. When you update with a new version of the library the sashes will return and you will have to remove them again.

A safe and alternative method is to export the window from your plan and import it again as 'Door or window'. It will be a separate object without the sashes because it doesn't come from the library.

Hi Keet,
thank you very much for your quick reply and explanation. For a start I am working in 2D view only. Floorplans in Germany usually don't show sashes for windows. This way it's easy to tell doors from windows.
I will try your export - import method.

Cheers

The export/import method will work. Quick and easy.

Keep in mind that you now use a separate object that has lost all extra library properties. For some windows you don't want to loose extra's like the wall distance and thickness that preserve the window depth for borders and sills that extend outside of the wall. For those you will have to remove the sashes from the library or import them to your own library and copy those properties from the original except the sash properties.
