Try to join wall 1 and wall 3... no problem !!! strange.
NB : the base (Lvl 1) hasn't this problem, only the Lvl 2.
Why ?
Remark: this project has simple walls and 3 texts box, there is no object and the compressed file weights 1.94 MB.
Why ?
I didn't see any problem with new file (6.4). .

Re: Error in sh3d 6.4 with old projects ?
The error happens in version 6.3. Very strangely, the wall 2 is joined to itself at its start. I wonder how that could happen, and if you find a way to reproduce this issue, I would be happy to know it so I can fix it.
The size of your SH3D file comes from the texture image you used for the ground.

Like I said, I updated an old project (6.1.2) and I saved it under 6.4. I closed sh3d then I re-opened the project, the walls (not all) became unjoined...

Hum, it's not what I read
I just tried to reproduce your issue on a file created with version 6.1.2, but opening, saving and reopening it with version 6.4 didn't show any unjoined wall. There must be something else... As the version 6.4 introduced more IDs on plan objects, I hope I didn't introduce a bug in the management of existing wall IDs.

Apparently, the error is on a particular project. I tested another old projects and they work fine in 6.4.
Mystery of softwares... .

If ever you kept a copy of the SH3D file before you updated in Sweet Home 3D 6.4, I'll be happy to review it.

Re: Error in sh3d 6.4 with old projects ?
I found the bug which happens when a wall is split in two walls, either with Plan > Split wall menu item or when you request to recompute walls in room modification dialog box. I fixed it and will probably release a version 6.4.2 soon.

The version 6.4.2 was released tonight to fix this issue. This update won't join again detached walls, but at least, it will let you join them again and won't provoke this bad bug. Thanks for reporting it.
