Create Photo dialog will not display

Hello everyone,

I have recently installed SH3D 6.3 64bit on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
I am almost done building my project. When clicking on Create Photo icon or clicking on Create Photo from menu nothing happens.

I initially tried launching it from command line and the error below was reported:
Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
I then installed libcanberra-gtk-module on my system and I am still not able to see the Create photo dialog. I got rid of the previous error though. Command line does not report any more error.

When I run SH3D and do not open my project I am able to open the Create Photo dialog. So I tried to open my project, then remove everything and I still could not open the Create Photo dialog.

I have to admit I do not have any more idea except restarting my project from scratch and trying to open Create Photo dialog at every step - Which I am not eager trying!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bruno

Re: Create Photo dialog will not display

From your description, I guess the photo creation dialog box is opened but out of sight, even if normally this shouldn't happen. Or maybe, you have to monitors and the second one is turned off.
Anyway, you should be able to fix your sh3d file following these steps:
1. create a backup of your .sh3d file
2. change its extension to .zip
3. edit the file Home.xml in the .zip file to remove the lines containing the text
property name='com.eteks.sweethome3d.swing.PhotoPanel
4. save Home.xml and the .zip file that contains it
5. change its extension back to .sh3d
