Copy object to exact position?

Hello,
I want to test a few new stores for our living room. I have created some using one of the textures to choose from.
I have then grouped them all and copies them (Copy - paste), so I can have them visible alternatively.
When copying and pasting, the group is not positioned to the exact place where the original was, though. How can I achieve this?
Thakns in advance.

Re: Copy object to exact position?

when you copy/paste the new object will appear 200mm out on both the x and y axis, but, if you then delete that object and paste again it will appear in the correct position.
alternatively you can create another level at the same elevation, you can in fact have as many as you wish, making different levels visible might be a better way to change textures or objects
or group different textured objects and change the visibility of the group, the groups could be named to match a certain texture/colour, to enable ease of identification
